In a disconcerting turn of events, a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) office in Bengaluru, Karnataka, found itself at the center of a bomb threat hoax that led to the evacuation of employees and the deployment of security forces. The incident unfolded on Tuesday morning, as employees were alerted to a threatening call specifically targeting the B block of the TCS office.
Promptly responding to the security breach, TCS officials immediately informed the Parappana Agrahara Police, initiating a comprehensive security protocol. A bomb disposal squad, accompanied by a dog squad, was dispatched to thoroughly sweep the office premises for any potential explosives.
Despite the heightened security measures, the search conducted by the bomb squad and the dog unit yielded no evidence of suspicious items. The incident, however, caused a temporary disruption and anxiety among employees as they were forced to evacuate the building.

The investigation into the bomb threat revealed a disturbing twist—the call was a hoax, orchestrated by a former female employee based in Hubli. In that instance, an ex-employee also perpetrated a bomb threat hoax, resulting in the evacuation of approximately 1500 employees. The recurrence of such incidents raises concerns about the security measures in place and the need for stringent checks on employees who may have left the organization but still possess the means to disrupt its operations.
