Cricket like any other profession gets boring sometimes for the players involved. Usually, there are some players in the dressing room that keep the mood light in the team. Those players are usually the wicket keepers. Rishabh Pant is that sort of player in the Indian camp. Mathew Wade seems to be a similar figure in the Australian team. In the second T20 match against India, he was caught doing comparisons with MS Dhoni while keeping. Watch it for yourselves.
In the 9th over there was a chance of stumping that Wade missed after which he said “Not Dhoni, not quick like Dhoni”. Dhawan was amused at the comparison as well and nodded in agreement to the Australian captain. It feels like Mathew wade has an inner comedian in him. In Australian tour of India in 2017, he similarly asked Pujara what ‘mad**ch*d’ meant. I’m sure Pujara being the gentleman he is would not indulge himself in these things and would have sent Wade Kohli’s way.
